The Emanuel Vidović Gallery is dedicated to the life and work of Emanuel Vidović, providing a space for the collection, study, preservation, and exhibition of the painter’s material and spiritual legacy. Its holdings, both current and future, include works that trace Vidović’s artistic development throughout his career, along with a variety of museum materials that complement his biography and illustrate the reception of his work.

The permanent exhibition combines thematic and chronological arrangements. Vidović’s paintings are organised both by subject and by stylistic phase, as changes in his motifs are often accompanied by shifts in style.

A separate section is devoted to Vidović’s drawn portraits of Split, highlighting his bond with his hometown and his, at times contested, mastery of line.

Part of the exhibition space is also occupied by a reconstruction of Vidović’s studio, presented as an immersive display that not only illustrates the context in which he worked but also evokes elements of the actual subjects he depicted in his paintings.
